DIAMOND HEAD, TRAIL OF TEARS Confirmed For Holland's DOKK'EM OPEN AIR Festival
October 7, 2007NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) legends DIAMOND HEAD and Norway's TRAIL OF TEARS have been confirmed for next year's Dokk'em Open Air festival, set to take place August 9, 2008 in Raard (by Dokkum),the Netherlands.
DIAMOND HEAD's new album, "What's In Your Head?", was released on July 30. The CD was previously described by the band as "a powerful but varied collection of songs." The album includes the song "Reign Supreme", which is said to be "the heaviest track DIAMOND HEAD have recorded since 'Am I Evil?'"
TRAIL OF TEARS will embark on a North American headlining tour in January/February 2008. Support on the trek will come from CELLADOR, ECHOES OF ETERNITY and UNEXPECT.
TRAIL OF TEARS was recently rejoined by vocalist Cathrine Paulsen, who sang on the group's 2002 album, "A New Dimension of Might".
TRAIL OF TEARS's fifth album, "Existentia", was issued in January via Napalm Records. The CD was recorded at Soundsuite Studio in Marseille, France with producer Terje Refsnes and includes contributions from French female singer Emmanuelle Zoldan and Norwegian keyboard master Bernt Moen.
